Belongs to Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Son Nhat Airport is known as the largest airport in Vietnam which was built in the 1930s by the French government. Up to now, it’s South Vietnam’s main airport and one of the world’s busiest airbases.
Tan Son Nhat Airport includes two terminals in operation: T1 is for domestic departures and arrivals, and T2, serving international departures and arrivals. In particular, T2 which was built in 2007, and currently processes about 10 million tourists per year, contributing over half of the 17 million tourists processed by the whole of Tan Son Nhat airport.

Prior to arriving in Vietnam, you must get a visa letter already in your passport or a ‘letter of introduction’ supplied by a company or tour operator, such as Incredible Asia Journeys. They will provide an application form, which you must fill out in full before arrival.
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will find the ‘Visa Application’ or ‘Visa on Arrival’ stations at the airport to hand over your letter of introduction, completed application form, two passport photos, and your passport. Wait while your visa is approved, you must pay the stamping fee and proceed through the rest of the airport.
