This airport has been operating since late 2012 with four local flights to the island, which are Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, VASCO, and VietJet Air. Phu Quoc Airport is known as the fifth-largest domestic airport in Vietnam based on current seat capacity and is also the fifth-largest international airport.
Here there is also a variety of catering and shopping services and several hotels and resorts located within 10 minutes driving distance from the airport. Tourists can find two local cafes and shops with mostly handicrafts, tee shirts, pearl jewelry, and liquor on the second floor of Phu Quoc Airport.
It takes you about 22 minutes and covers 10km of road to transfer from Phu Quoc International Airport to Phu Quoc town. You can enjoy your trip with the island’s picturesque scenery lies on all sides of the road and presents a very scenic drive the entire way to the town.

Travelers to Vietnam are regularly overcharged by taxi drivers who operate from Phu Quoc airport. So please be careful when leaving the airport and don’t give in to peer pressure.
Prior to arriving in Vietnam, you must get a visa letter already in your passport or a ‘letter of introduction’ supplied by a company or tour operator, such as Asia Best Travel. They will provide an application form, which you must fill out in full before arrival.
Upon arrival at Phu Quoc airport, you will find the ‘Visa Application’ or ‘Visa on Arrival’ stations at the airport to hand over your letter of introduction, completed application form, two passport photos, and your passport. Wait while your visa is approved, you must pay the stamping fee and proceed through the rest of the airport.
